This has been a long time coming. Our Old Souls crewneck took over a YEAR to perfect. (Forgot how damn tedious designing & manufacturing can be!) We were adamant about it being the perfect first foray into fashion and what could be better than an abundantly oversized sweatshirt adorned with all our favorite objects, hand sketched by an equally object-oriented creative (Alexis Stiteler). Rather obsessed with her work and her mind, and humbled she agreed to the gig.
Ben, Laura and I have been wandering around LA (and France) in these for the past few weeks and have received many a “where did you get that?” inquiry, which truly puts a smile on our face to be able to say, we made it!

Funny story, just yesterday Ben and I went to CostCo (yes, we’re that family now), to do our monthly grocery bulk buy and a girl stopped me and said “isn’t that the new Olive Ateliers sweatshirt?” and I said (beaming!) “YES! It launches Wednesday!”, to which she replied “You must be pretty special to have one before they launch” and I said “Aw, I’m one of the founders!”, which she seemed floored to hear. We chatted for a while, she told us how she’s shopped with us since the early days and her boyfriend is sick and tired of seeing her arrive home with more pots and no where to put them. Such a crazy, cool feeling to know we have fans of the brand out there in our orbit. That we created something people love and cherish. We parted ways and Ben turns to look at me and goes OMFG you have mustard on your face, and reaches over to wipe a glob of mustard off my cheek. Yes, I had been beaming with pride about Olive Ateliers covered in mustard the whole damn time. And yes, it is because I ate a $1 CostCo hotdog, don’t judge me, it was 3pm and the first thing I’d had time to consume all day. Ben fell to the floor, literally, hysterically laughing. FML.
Anyways, the Old Soul crewneck launches this Tuesday, April 30 @ 5pm on oliveateliers.com and in-person Wednesday, May 1 at our flagship Atelier. We have a limited quantity available, I say that not to drive urgency but more as a warning as nothing breaks my heart more than when a friend DM’s wanting something that’s already sold out. My hands will be tied when these go out of stock, you’ve been warned.
